Xbox 360 Arcade console

The entry level xbox360 console is the xbox 360 Arcade is great for family entertainment and comes with 5 games just plug it in and Go Play. It only has 265 MB memory which is enough it you are not that serious a gamer. It also comes with a wireless controller and Xbox LIVE Silver Membership.

Microsoft launch the xbox 360 Arcade and targeted the family market with it's Go Play theme and that's exactly what you can do when you get the xbox home. Micosoft's xbox 360 premium is the mid range xbox 360 console and is intended for those who are more serious about gaming. Although the price tag is a bit more weightier than the arcade what you get is worth the extra cash. Where most of the extra expense goes is in the memory, 20 GB which is handy for storing downloaded games and pictures.

For the money, only £40 more than the arcade, you get 80 times more memory. If you know anything about computers, that is where the money goes. So, if you enjoy playing games and anticipate downloading games or movies then its worth digging that wee it deeper for the xbox 360 premium.

Xbox 360 Elite console

There are several advantages which the xbox 360 elite has over the xbox 360 premium console. The hard drive has jumped from 20 GB to 120GB, which is great if you want to store lots of music and movies from via Xbox Live. The console also has an HDMI 1.2 interface which is the optimal connection for HD video playback which translates into true-to-life graphics and amazing picture quality.

The xbox 360 elite comes with a matching black wireless controller, has a range of up to 30 ft why you need that range no one knows, but it has it. The xbox 360 elite is not totally wireless, cables include HDMI AV cable; the Component HD AV cable with component, S-Video, and composite audio inputs; an audio adaptor for composite audio and optical audio inputs; a headset; and an ethernet cable.

The Xbox 360 console is the 2nd video game console produced by Microsoft, and was developed in co-operation with IBM, ATI, and SiS. The integrated Xbox Live service allows players to compete online and download content such as arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows, and movies. The Xbox 360 console is the successor to the Xbox, and competes with the PlayStation 3 by Sony and the Wii by Nintendo as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles.

The Xbox 360 console was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information divulged later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The console sold out completely at release (with the exception of Japan) and, as of February 22, 2008, 18 million units have been sold worldwide according to Microsoft. The Xbox 360 console comes in three different versions, the Xbox 360 Arcade console, the Xbox 360 Premium console, and the Xbox 360 Elite console, each having its own selection of included and available accessories. Another version of the Xbox 360, called the "Core" which was available from launch, has since been discontinued for retail and replaced with the Xbox 360 Arcade.
